Ashley Graham Responds To Rumors That She Was Photoshopped on Magazine Cover
Ashley Graham covers Maxim's April issue, which should be a totally celebration since she's the first plus-size model to cover the mag. But it's come with a bit of controversy.
After seeing Ashley on the cover and in the inside shots, fans cried "photoshop," saying she looks slimmer on the pages than she does IRL, or in other campaigns. Now, Ashley is addressing the backlash.
She released a statement saying that she does NOT feel like her body looks different and she's happy with the photos.
"I'm beyond proud to be the first curvy woman on the cover of Maxim. I was not slimmed down on the cover, and Gilles Bensimon did an amazing job capturing my true figure in all of the photos. This is another major advancement for curvy women, especially those who work in the fashion industry who are working hard to get the recognition they deserve. I now encourage more publications and designers to put more diversity on their covers and runways. Let's continue to show that beautiful bodies come in different sizes and they should all be celebrated."
A flawless response, but we wouldn't expect anything else from her.
